Ascorbic acid at the percent in this formula provides an antioxidant capacity comparable to a 50% ascorbic acid solution. And, because it’s 100% stable- it retains this efficacy after the product has been opened. Formulas containing regular ascorbic acid will see about 80-90% decrease in ascorbic acid content after just 6 days.
